Grown Ups 2 - Featured

Last Friday (July 12), Adam Sandler returned to the big screen alongside his comedic trio including David Spade, Chris Rock and Kevin James, to help audiences get chocolate wasted once again in the Dennis Dugan-directed farce, Grown Ups 2. Although the gang has been away from theaters for three years—the release of the first Grown Ups film stormed theaters in 2010—they had no problem getting back into action as the original cast, plus a few newcomers including Shaquille O’Neal, were found in Lenny Feder’s (Adam Sandler) hometown causing more trouble than they did the first time around.

While the crowd reaction didn’t plead in favor of the up-North comedians’ 2010 flick, theaters nationwide seemed to be filled with audiences that can’t stop laughing or letting out a relentless, “Ooohhhh!” In fact, the Columbia Pictures film grossed more than $41 million during opening weekend, a mere $1 million-plus more than the original, and clearly lives in better hands this time around in the hearts of moviegoers.

As Becky Feder (Alexys Nycole Sanchez) stole the show with her adorable smile and unknowing adult jokes made by her seemingly innocent questions—”Daddy, what’s wasted mean?”—in 2010, it was Twilight’s Taylor Lautner (Jacob) that kept the crowd roaring. Lautner gave a tear-jerking performance caused by nothing but pure laughter as his frat boy persona was on an energetic and unnecessary high. And for those who haven’t seen the film yet, Jacob-turned-Frat-Boy-Andy takes takes the college-boy handshake to a new level. He may not be the star of the film, but he certainly elevates the need to laugh at senseless humor.

Still not sure if this is a film for you? Take a look at a movie clip below!
